THE EFFECTS SARGASSUM SEAWEED POSES ON COASTAL AREAS ARE EXAMINED.
[16th JUNE 2021]- Since 2011, the largest seaweed bloom in recorded history has been affecting the Caribbean islands, and the shores of the Western Atlantic, from Brazil to North Carolina. The large rafts of seaweed floating in the waters eventually wash up on beaches and coastlines, in many instances piled up many meters high. The effect on our coastal communities has become unbearable. More in this report.
