SAINT LUCIA RECORDS 75 NEW CASES OF COVID-19

Monday January 24th 2022, Saint Lucia confirmed a total of 75 new cases of COVID-19. These samples were processed on Sunday January 23, 2022 from a total of 226 samples of which 187 samples were from the Ezra Long Laboratory and 39 samples from the Laboratory Services and Consultations Limited. These samples were collected on January 22, 2022 to January 23, 2022. This number of positive cases makes up 33.19% of all the samples processed on that date.

Confirmation was also received of the recovery of 136 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19.

The Ministry of Health also reports 5 new COVID-19 deaths and 1 new COVID-19 related death. These deaths occurred during the period January 15, 2022 to January 21, 2022.

To date, a total of 50, 908 individuals have been fully vaccinated. Another 6, 029 are partially vaccinated and 5, 892 have received their booster shot.
