SAINT LUCIA RECORDS 70 NEW COVID-19 CASES
Tuesday September 28th 2021, Saint Lucia confirms a total of seventy (70) new cases of COVID-19. These cases were processed on Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Ezra Long Laboratory from a total of 272 samples which were collected between September 24 and 27, 2021. This number of positive cases makes up 25.7% of all the samples processed on that date.
The Ministry of Health also reports nine (9) new COVID-19 deaths. All of these deaths occurred during the period September 16, 2021 to September 26, 2021.
Confirmation was also received of the recovery of 31 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19.
To date, a total of 35,814 individuals have received the first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and 29,467 have received the second dose. A total of 9,431 individuals have received the first dose and 2,053 individuals have received the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
