SAINT LUCIA RECORDS 69 NEW CASES OF COVID-19
September 8th 2021, Saint Lucia confirmed a total of 69 new cases of COVID-19. These cases were processed on Tuesday September 7, 2021 at the Ezra Long Laboratory from a total of 375 samples.
The Ministry of Health also reports 7 new COVID-19 deaths and 3 COVID-19 related deaths, an 82 year old female from the Castries district, a 58 year old male from the Castries district, an 85 year old female from the Castries district, a 61 year old female from the Castries district, a 42 year old female from the Laborie district, a 54 year old male from the Castries district, s a 79 year old female from the Canaries district.
COVID-19 related deaths; a 68 year old male from the Babonneau district, a 50 year old female from the Castries district, a 72 year old male from the Castries district.
Confirmation was also received of the recovery of 101 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19.
To date, a total of 35, 159 individuals have received the first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and 28, 315 have received the second dose. A total of 5, 267 individuals have received the first dose and 74 individuals have received the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
