SAINT LUCIA RECORDS 52 NEW COCID-19 CASES
Friday October 8th 2021, Saint Lucia confirmed a total of 52 new cases of COVID-19. These cases were processed on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at the Ezra Long Laboratory from a total of 318 samples which were collected between October 5 and October 7, 2021. This number of positive cases makes up 16.3% of all the samples processed on that date.
The Ministry of Health also reports one (1) new COVID-19 related death, a 54-year-old male from the Gros Islet District.
Confirmation was also received of the recovery of 69 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19.
To date, a total of 36,195 individuals have received the first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and 30,012 have received the second dose. A total of 11,157 individuals have received the first dose and 5,098 individuals have received the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
