SAINT LUCIA RECORDS 28 NEW COVID-19 CASES
Saturday October 9th 2021, Saint Lucia confirmed a total of 28 new cases of COVID-19. These cases were processed on Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Ezra Long Laboratory from a total of 309 samples which were collected between October 7 and October 8, 2021. This number of positive cases makes up 9.1% of all the samples processed on that date.
The Ministry of Health also reports two (2) new COVID-19 related deaths, a 55-year-old male from the Anse La Raye district and a 94-year-old female of the Choiseul district.
Confirmation was also received of the recovery of 56 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19.
To date, a total of 36,240 individuals have received the first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and 30,117 have received the second dose. A total of 11,463 individuals have received the first dose and 5,628 individuals have received the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
