SAINT LUCIA RECORDS 18 NEW COVID-19 CASES

Tuesday October 5th, 2021, Saint Lucia confirmed a total of 18 new cases of COVID-19. These cases were processed on Monday, October 4, 2021 at the Ezra Long Laboratory from a total of 88 samples which were collected between October 2 and October 4, 2021. This number of positive cases makes up 20.4% of all the samples processed on that date.

The Ministry of Health also reports six (6) new COVID-19 deaths. Confirmation was also received of the recovery of 149 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19.

To date, a total of 36,103 individuals have received the first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and 29,769 have received the second dose. A total of 10,629 individuals have received the first dose and 3,822 individuals have received the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
