SAINT LUCIA RECORDS 15 NEW COVID-19 CASES
Sunday October 24th 2021, Saint Lucia confirmed a total of 15 new cases of COVID-19. These cases were processed on Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the Ezra Long Laboratory from a total of 273 samples which were collected between October 22 and October 23, 2021. This number of positive cases makes up 5.5% of all the samples processed on that date.
The Ministry of Health also reports one (1) new COVID-19 death, a 64-year-old female from the Micoud district. Confirmation was also received of the recovery of 17 individuals diagnosed with COVID-19.
To date, a total of 36,585 individuals have received the first dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine and 31,242 have received the second dose. A total of 13,534 individuals have received the first dose and 8,306 individuals have received the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine.
