SAINT LUCIA RECORDS 11 NEW CASES OF COVID-19
Wednesday, June 23, Saint Lucia confirmed 11 new cases of COVID-19. This is from a batch of 206 samples that were taken from June 18 to June 22. These samples were all processed on Tuesday, June 22.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness has also received news of the recovery of 9 individuals.
As of June 21, a total of 30, 270 individuals have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 21, 293 of those have also received the second dose.
The Epidemiology Department of the Ministry of Health and Wellness is currently undertaking a thorough review of the database of COVID-19 deaths in Saint Lucia. It is expected that this process will be completed on Friday, June 23 and the Chief Medical Officer will issue a press statement specific to those findings on that day.
