HAIR US OUT SPEAKS ON ONGOING SITUATIONS AT SCHOOLS
[7th September 2022] - Hair, hairstyles, and length selection have long been issues for children in a school setting. While some educational institutions allow students to wear their hair in a variety of ways, others are more strict. Following the opening of schools on the island, the denial of entry to students in some schools because of their hair, has left parents seeking immediate change in the rules which currently exist. In this report, a member of the advocacy group called Hair Us Out, shares some of the reports they have received and how the group intends to evoke change in the school system.
