[13th April 2022] - St. Lucian Kweyol was formerly scorned and considered as a simple broken French dialect. Many people have recognized the importance of maintaining and spreading the language over the years, and one individual, in particular, has done so through music. His legacy has been preserved via the efforts of individuals who have continued the kweyol song competition, and what was once a dream 10 years ago is now a reality known as Chante Kweyol.
