Raise Your Voice Saint Lucia Muted by Police

A memo from the Chief Education Officers has come across the Choice News Desk, informing Principals of all Primary and Secondary schools that there will be no school on Monday due to a General Meeting of the Saint Lucia Teacher’s Union. Parents are asked to take note. Once again, schools will be closed ISLANDWIDE on Monday March 11.

And now, we go to news that the annual International Women’s Day march organized by advocacy group Raise Your Voice Saint Lucia was stymied due to the lack of response by the police to the letter sent requesting permission. Janeka Simon tells us more.
